The dull sound of grains sliding into the grinder, then that rounded aroma rising before the water even heats up: this is Dolce, the coffee from Molinari that has never needed to raise its voice.

I take the first sip and everything softens. It is round, warm, almost sweet, without that biting bitterness. The coffee glides down, full of aroma, with a light but present body, like a hand resting on a shoulder. I am on the terrace of a small café in Modena, the newspaper folded beside me, and I have nowhere to be. The taste lingers, tender, long after the last sip, and I already know I will make another cup.

It is seven o'clock, somewhere in Emilia-Romagna. The shutters are still half-closed, golden light glides over the counter, and someone, without a word, prepares the coffee. Not to wake up with a start. To enter the day gently.

That is exactly where Dolce belongs.

At Caffè Molinari, the story begins in Modena, with Giuseppe Molinari and a small specialty shop that eventually supplied the Italian Royal House. Today, the company has become a family business carried on from generation to generation. With Dolce, they have crafted a blend designed for gentleness: tender notes, a delicate body, nothing aggressive, everything enveloping.

You don't buy this coffee to jolt yourself awake. You buy it to slow down. To find that little moment of calm that Italians know how to give themselves between tasks, without guilt.

And here, in Canada, when winter sets in and the sky stays grey until ten, just opening the bag is enough to make the kitchen smell a little like Italy. One cup, both hands around it, and you are elsewhere for ten minutes.

Why our customers love it

  • A blend designed for gentleness: tender notes and a delicate body
  • A very generous aroma the moment the bag is opened
  • Marked sweetness (5/5), perfect for those who do not like aggressive coffees
  • A delicate body (4/5), which lingers on the palate without being heavy
  • A house from Modena with a family history that supplied the Italian Royal House
  • A 1 kg format for true coffee lovers who drink it every day
  • The coffee you drink slowly, to do yourself some good: a little piece of Italy at home

WHY WE USE THIS SHIPPING SYSTEM ONCE A WEEK

The reason is simple: this is why we use this shipping system once a week, where products are shipped on Sundays.

If we had to keep all products in large quantities, we would need a very, very, very large warehouse, like a large distribution center. The cost of that would significantly increase our prices.

Instead, we keep limited stock and receive weekly deliveries.

However, our 100+ suppliers do not all deliver at the same time, and not all of them have an accurate inventory system — and that is another story lol.

For this reason, in order to build your package, we must wait for products from all suppliers. If we already have all the items, your package may be able to leave sooner. It also depends on the volume of orders.

We hope you understand 🙏

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

All orders are dispatched once a week, on Sundays. All services, including express service, follow this same shipping schedule.

You place your order here (week 1) – for example: whether it is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

👉 This is considered our order week (week 1).

👉 Your order will be prepared from the following Monday through Saturday, then shipped the following Sunday (the next Sunday, not the one in the week you ordered).

👉 If you order on or after Sunday, in the new week, your package will then depart the following Sunday, which is approximately 14 days later.

Foire aux questions sur les produits

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Orders are processed weekly.

If you place your order before Sunday, it will be processed and shipped the following Sunday (not the upcoming Sunday).

If you order after Sunday, it will be processed and shipped the following Sunday (i.e., the second Sunday after your order).

WHERE ARE THESE PRODUCTS LOCATED?

All our products are already in Canada, in our warehouse, ready to be shipped. You will not have any customs fees or hidden costs upon delivery.

WHY DO YOU SHIP ONCE A WEEK?

Because we work with several importers and suppliers.

Some products are in limited quantity in our warehouse and we must wait for the missing items to arrive.

Since our suppliers do not all deliver on the same day, we consolidate orders and ship once a week to ensure that your order is complete.

WHY IS AN ITEM MISSING FROM MY ORDER?

Some of our suppliers do not have real-time inventory systems and do not always notify us when a product is out of stock.

Furthermore, some items received may have an expiration date that is too soon. We check every product upon receipt and remove those that do not meet our standards.

If an item is missing, it is because we have chosen not to include it in order to guarantee you the best possible quality.

WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE A RETURN POLICY?

As these are food products, we cannot accept returns for safety and hygiene reasons.

Once a product has been shipped, we cannot guarantee the conditions under which it has been stored or handled.

Why has the price of this product increased since my last order?

Our products are purchased in euros, so the exchange rate directly influences our prices.

In addition, transport and import costs can fluctuate, which can also have an impact on the final price.
