The knife glides through the crumb, a pink and violet hue appears on the slice, and the scent of cherries, honey, and vanilla rises to greet you even before the first bite: this is the Filippi Sour Cherry Panettone, the most indulgent of all fruit panettones.

Imagine a Sunday table in December, somewhere in Italy. Coffee brews in the moka pot, children hover around the panettone without daring to touch it, and finally, someone says: “Go on, let’s cut it.” The first slice falls onto the plate. Everyone leans in to see the color of the crumb, and you hear: “Oh, look at that.”

This panettone is from Pasticceria Filippi, prepared with sweet, plump black cherries, fresh eggs, cane sugar, and honey. It is naturally flavored with Bourbon vanilla beans from Madagascar. Its rise relies on the Filippi sourdough starter, preserved and kept alive for 40 years through regular daily feedings. Here, nothing is rushed: the dough rises at its own pace, and the candied fruits remain juicy, resulting in that airy and delicately colored crumb.

You don’t buy a panettone “just to have a dessert.” You buy it for the moment the box opens, for the color that makes everyone look up, for the slice you savor slowly with a coffee.

And when the snow piles up outside, the wind sneaks under the door, and night falls at four in the afternoon, anywhere in Canada, you only need to cut that first slice for the kitchen to smell of cherries, honey, and vanilla. Someone whispers “is there any left?”, and the winter outside no longer matters.

  • A 500g format, easy to give as a gift or enjoy yourself without waiting for a large gathering
  • Sweet, plump black cherries that stay juicy within the dough
  • A moist and airy crumb, tinted pink and violet by the fruit
  • A Filippi sourdough starter kept alive for 40 years with daily feedings
  • Honey, cane sugar, fresh eggs, and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar
  • Artisanal pastry from Pasticceria Filippi, where time is part of the recipe
  • And above all: that moment when the table goes quiet to admire the color of the crumb

WHY WE USE THIS SHIPPING SYSTEM ONCE A WEEK

The reason is simple: that's why we use this shipping system once a week, where products are shipped on Sundays.

If we were to keep all products in large quantities, we would need a very, very, very large warehouse, like a large distribution center. The cost of that would significantly increase our prices.

Instead, we keep limited stock and receive weekly deliveries.

However, not all of our 100+ suppliers deliver at the same time, and not all of them have an accurate inventory system — and that's another story lol.

For this reason, in order to build your package, we have to wait for products from all suppliers. If we already have all the items, your package may be sent faster. It also depends on the volume of orders.

We hope you understand 🙏

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

All orders are dispatched once a week, on Sundays. All services, including express service, follow this same shipping schedule.

You place an order here (Week 1) – for example: whether it's Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

👉 This is considered our order week (Week 1).

👉 Your order will be prepared from the following Monday until Saturday, then dispatched on the following Sunday (the next Sunday, not the one in the week you ordered).

👉 If you order on Sunday or later in the new week, your package will then be dispatched the Sunday after that, approximately 14 days later.

Product FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Orders are processed weekly.

If you place your order before Sunday, it will be processed and shipped on the following Sunday (not the immediate Sunday).

If you order after Sunday, it will be processed and shipped on the following Sunday (i.e., the second Sunday after your order).

WHERE ARE THESE PRODUCTS LOCATED?

All our products are already in Canada, in our warehouse, ready to be shipped. You will not have any customs fees or hidden charges upon delivery.

WHY DO YOU SHIP ONCE A WEEK?

Because we work with several importers and suppliers.

Some products are in limited quantity in our warehouse and we must wait for the missing items to be received.

Since our suppliers do not all deliver on the same day, we consolidate orders and ship once a week to ensure your order is complete.

WHY IS AN ITEM MISSING FROM MY ORDER?

Some of our suppliers do not have a real-time inventory system and do not always notify us when a product is out of stock.

In addition, some received items may have an expiration date that is too soon. We check each product upon receipt and remove those that do not meet our standards.

If an item is missing, it is because we have chosen not to include it in order to guarantee you the best possible quality.

WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A RETURN POLICY?

As these are food products, we cannot accept returns for safety and hygiene reasons.

Once a product has been shipped, we cannot guarantee the storage or handling conditions.

Why has the price of this product increased since my last order?

Our products are purchased in euros, so the exchange rate directly influences our prices.

In addition, transportation and import costs can vary, which can also impact the final price.
