Filippi's Special Griotte Panettone is made from sweet, juicy sour cherries blended with fresh eggs , whole milk , cane sugar and honey , naturally flavored with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla pods and leavened with small amounts of Filippi sourdough starter, jealously guarded and kept alive with regular daily refreshments for 40 years.

This is the most indulgent recipe for Panettone with candied fruit: the flavor and aroma of tangy sour cherries fill the palate and the air; the candied fruit remains juicy and colors the soft and "airy" dough a delicate pink/purple color... a feast for the eyes!
